FSC Malaysia is administered by a Secretariat and governed by a Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors of FSC Malaysia is responsible for the overall direction and administration of FSC Malaysia, guiding policy-setting and strategic planning processes in accordance to the mission and objectives of FSC Malaysia.
Members of the Board are nominated and elected by the FSC members in Malaysia at a national General Assembly. A Chairman, Vice-Chairman and a Treasurer is appointed by the Board of Directors (BoD), from amongst themselves. Elected Board members serve a two year term. Decision-making is accomplished through building consensus.
The day-to-day operations of FSC Malaysia is executed by the Secretariat, primarily to coordinate and manage the development of a national interpretation of the FSC Principles and Criteria, as well as facilitating progress towards the establishment of an endorsed FSC National Office.
