Public consultation on the National Forest Stewardship Standard (NFSS) of Malaysia
As announced on 1 April 2021, a 60-day consultation of the Malaysian NFSS is now open, from 1 April to 31 May 2021.
The Malaysian NFSS is being revised with the main objectives of:
- Transferring the International Generic Indicators (IGI V2-0),
- Incorporating Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP) indicators to include NTFPs in the scope, and
- Adding a National High Conservation Value (HCV) framework as an annex within the NFSS.
Stakeholders are encouraged to read through the draft revised NFSS and submit their comments using the Comments Form.
